Seeing God

Today, I walked into my office for the first time in at least a week.  Oh, I have been in and out before services, or a quick stop to pick things up, but for the most part my schedule has keep me away.  It has been and enjoyable week attending a conference in New York, and spending time with my good friend's the Dalys.

But when I waled into my office on Sunday, I noticed the plant was all wilted.  It actually looked dead.  Shawn actually pointed out the dead looking plant and said, "Dad your plant died."  I send him down for some water, but I was pretty confident that the plant had reached its end.

To my surprise, when I arrived this morning I found a revived, vibrant plant that was the epitome of life.  How refreshed I was when I noticed this new life.  I paused and thanked God for the life in my plant.  It may seem strange, but the visible, living plant was a reminder of the invisible, living God.  I saw the invisible God in the revived plant.  Now the preacher in me would like to draw all sort of parallel between the condition of the plant without proper attention, and the essential of life giving water.  But, I am too busy noticing the presence of the invisible God in the visible plant to get all "preachy"  Thank you God for the visible reminder of yourself.

Have you seen the invisible God in the visible?  Please share your story...

Being by the ocean this week and in the past has always drawn my attention to the invisible God. I can't see Him but I see Him! It's amazing and wonderful to be able to recognize the Lord in the beauty around us. Thank you Lord.
